Chef Davide Porcaccio

Chef Davide Porcaccio is originally from Naples.

His passion began thanks to the love for cooking passed down to him by his mother and his grandmother Carmela. It is thanks to them that he embarked on a journey into the world of hospitality and dining. He trained at the IPSEOA Lucio Petronio Hospitality Institute in Pozzuoli.

His career in the restaurant industry began at the age of 16. His dedication to his studies and to cooking did not go unnoticed by some of his teachers, who immediately helped him enter the workforce.

In the early years, he chose to work locally in the Neapolitan area to fully learn the regional cuisine, studying and enhancing the local products his land had to offer.

He had the opportunity to work with chefs who shaped his skills and broadened his culinary horizons, from whom he learned about contemporary Italian cuisine and he got influenced by oriental techniques.

He later sought out new experiences within Italy, working in Sardinia, Capri, and Ischia—areas renowned for their culinary excellence. At the young age of 21, he decided to take a major step and moved to the United States, to Miami, to bring Italian cuisine to the world. There, he met his mentor, Chef Marco Giugliano, and restaurant owner Luca Lomonaco. Together, they began his journey at Dōma Miami, where he was able to fully express all he had learned over the years. He contributed to elevating the restaurant to the highest levels, receiving numerous accolades from local publications and earning the prestigious Gambero Rosso award of 2 forks for three consecutive years.

After years of hard work and dedication, he rose from Sous Chef to become the Executive Chef at Dōma, revamping the menu to give it a unique and unforgettable touch.

Chef Porcaccio’s pride in his work is deeply rooted in his Neapolitan heritage. His approach is based on working with the freshest and most unique ingredients, many of which come directly from Italy.

At Dōma, Chef Porcaccio will continue to dedicate himself to traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine, always seeking to surprise his guests by blending both styles into something entirely new, right in the heart of Wynwood.
